Our Story
What Began as a Passion for Pork
and Farming
Farming has been the primary occupation and lifestyle of the Vittetoe family for many generations. Jerome Vittetoe found his love for pork production through the Washington County FFA Chapter gilt program where he gained knowledge and experience breeding and farrowing sows and then feeding and finishing pigs for market.
The Start of JWV Pork
After high school, Jerome began farming full-time. In 1981 he met and married his wife, Heidi, and together the Vittetoes were able to expand their herd and grow the company from one employee to more than 80 employees today.
JWV Today
As the company continues to grow we remain committed to ensuring that each employee and partner has opportunities to grow with us. We strive to keep our perspective on the importance of faith, family, and values, and remember that we should not lose our focus on greater things.
